The Asha Mission Children’s Home is FUNDED!
Since it’s Thanksgiving, it seemed like the perfect day to share some news we are very, very thankful for. In case you missed it in the title…
The Asha Mission Children’s Home is FUNDED!
We’ve been fundraising for this project since November 2011. The first step was raising money for land (which we introduced you to in this blog and video.) Unfortunately, that land sold before we could purchase it – but our partners found a second piece of land that was even bigger and better!
The second piece of land also came with a challenge though…time was ticking on that purchase just as it had been for the first. We had just 30 days to raise the additional $75,000 we needed! It was then that a MIRACLE happened! Because of our incredible donors, we met our goal and our partners purchased the land!
Next came the building project. We needed another $180,000 to build a big, permanent home for the 37 children at Asha Mission. Not only was the amount needed overwhelming, but again, there was the issue of time. The current rental home has fallen into disrepair, and we need to move the children out as soon as possible. We were very concerned that a lack of funds might delay the construction process – but once again – we were blown away by some incredibly generous donors! Today we are thrilled to announce that the Building Project is FUNDED!
The construction officially started in March, and it has been amazing to watch the progress over the last few months!
The foundation was dug and poured…
The walls went up…
And the house really began to take shape!
Now, thanks to those incredible donors, the construction could be finished by late December or January. Our precious Asha Mission children are getting a NEW HOME!
If that’s not something to be thankful for, then I don’t know what is! So this Thanksgiving, we celebrate YOU. We are so grateful to all of our donors who have given to this need, and to the many other needs we share each year. Thank you for caring. Thank you for giving HOPE to children in need!<
