It’s a BOY!
Just last week we told you there was a baby on the way, but we had no idea how soon he would arrive! This precious little boy was born by C-section on August 25th at 4:15pm. His name is Akash which means Sky.
We are thrilled to have another precious child at Asha House! There are so many women in India who get pregnant out of wedlock (most as a result of rape or prostitution), and many of them commit suicide or abortions out of desperation. We are grateful that Akash’s mom knew Asha House was a safe place for her to go… a place where she could get the prenatal care she needed, and a safe, loving place to leave her little boy.

As we celebrate the birth of Akash, we are still looking for a few generous people to give toward his delivery costs. Several of you have donated already (thank you!) but we still need $975 to pay his hospital bill. Will you help us meet this need?
