HOPE for the Holidays
Christmas is well known as a FAVORITE holiday for children around the world. Unfortunately, many children are in such desperate situations that they don’t have a holiday. In poverty stricken areas children enjoy no Christmas dinner, no Christmas trees, and certainly no Christmas gifts. For many kids, Christmas is just another day that they are scraping by…trying not to go hungry.
Thanks to YOUR donations, that was not the case for the children we work with in Swaziland, India, and Thailand!!! This Christmas, we were able to release $3,200 to our partners overseas, just in time for the holidays!
In Thailand, these donations helped provide for the monthly expenses at the Children’s Home (food, electricity, etc) AND purchased special Christmas gifts for the children.
In India, these donations paid the electricity bill and provided food for the children at one orphanage, making sure they were warm with full stomachs at Christmas.
At our other two orphanages in India, the donations paid for a Christmas meal and celebration AND provided new school uniforms for the kids! Before, they were all wearing the wrong uniforms, and I’m sure they stuck out to the other kids. Now they all have new, matching uniforms just in time to start school again in January!
In Swaziland, these donations helped meet some of the most extreme needs of the children around the Nsoko area. This area is the most poverty stricken place in Swazi, and we know these donations helped bring relief and hope in some desperate situations!
We were also able to give a special one-time gift to an organization in Cambodia. This gift helped pay for a Christmas party for young children in the slums who have been trafficked and sexually-abused. Your donations helped pay for them to come to a safe place and just be KIDS for a day! What a precious gift!

We would also like to thank our fundraisers and donors who gave to the HOPE for the Holidays campaign through our online donation site, Razoo. We were able to raise another $2,600 in December thanks to your generosity and hard work!
