Putting kids in school, planting Community Gardens, starting Children’s Libraries, providing medical care, and even buying land for new Children’s Homes… these are the things we love to do at The Sound of Hope!
Paying utility bills, buying plane tickets, paying payroll taxes, buying office supplies… these are the things we don’t love so much. But in order to do the exciting things – the GREAT things that bring real, tangible HOPE to children around the world – we have to do the administrative work required to keep The Sound of Hope going! That’s why we’re writing you today.
The Sound of Hope isn’t a very old non-profit organization… as a matter of fact we’re only 2 years and 3 months old. But we are extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished in that short amount of time. Since we incorporated May 20th, 2010, we have invested $264,890.37 into our partnerships in India, Thailand, Burma, and Swaziland!
The Sound of Hope also isn’t a very big organization. As a matter of fact, we only have two full-time employees, and only one paid salary position. That’s one way we work to keep our administrative costs low. Did you know that we only take a 20% admin fee from every donation made to The Sound of Hope? That means that 80 cents of every dollar goes to our overseas partnerships!
But the REAL reason we have all these successes and we’re able keep our admin fees so low, is because of a small, dedicated group of AMAZING donors who specifically give to our Admin Fund. That means 100% of their donation is used to operate The Sound of Hope. These are people who believe in the work we do, and who want to make sure we can keep doing it! These passionate people are the fuel in our tanks… they are the ones that keep our wheels turning! They make it possible for us to continue working every day to rescue and protect children around the world!
Today, we’re asking YOU to consider becoming one of those people. We are looking for more of those dedicated, passionate donors to commit to giving to our Admin Fund – whether it is a monthly donation, or even just a one time gift right now!
