Give the Gift of HOPE!

By Ericka | December 03, 2024

On this #GivingTuesday, we’re kicking off our year-end fundraiser for our education fund! Over the past 14 years, one of our biggest investments has been education for kids in need. Free public school does not exist in the countries where we work, and vulnerable children (especially young girls) are the least likely to have access to an education. But we know that getting an education can change everything for these kids! Education gives HOPE to vulnerable kids around the world, and it is one of the best ways to ensure a bright future for them! That’s why we have worked to raise thousands of dollars for education funds for the kids in our care.

From helping start a preschool at our carepoint in Swaziland, to funding school fees from elementary to high school kids – we have seen the difference attending school makes for kids in Swaziland, Burma, Thailand, and India. But we didn’t stop with just basic schooling! As our little kids have grown up and graduated high school, we’ve been working to fund training programs, nursing school fees, and college tuitions for them.

Last year we shared the wonderful news about our Thai girls who had graduated from Nursing School and are now employed at hospitals in Chiang Mai. We are so proud of them! Now this year we are watching with JOY as three of our girls from Asha House (our Indian Children’s Home) pursue their dreams!

WaNeeDah (above) is a nurse in an Elderly Care facility.

NetNaRee (below) delivers babies in a Maternity Ward at the hospital.

Malati and Esther are both in their first year of Nursing School, and will have their final exams for year 1 this month! Esther is studing GNM Nursing and will have 2 more years of schooling. Malati is studying BSC Nursing and will have 3 additional years of schooling before her program is finished.

Sweet little Jyoti – whose miraculous story some of your have followed since she was just a toddler – is all grown up and in college too! Her dream is to become a Chemistry Professor, and she is in her 1st year of a 3 year college program, which will be followed by a 2 year post graduation course.

We are incredibly proud of these young women, and we want to do everything we can to support and empower them – along with the continued schooling of the younger children in our homes who still need our support for their school fees!

Will you help these girls pursue their dreams? Will you give the gift of education to the precious kids in our care? We need to start next year with a full Education Fund – and your year-end gift can help us make that happen! Thank you for helping us change lives!
