Akhsa & Abigail
This week The Sound of Hope turns 16 years old! Today, we’d like to share an update from India, about two little girls – now 15 years old – whose lives we’ve been a part of from the very beginning. Our incredible House Mom, Simini, recently posted this reflection. These are her words:
“Akhsa and Abigail both successfully completed their 10th grade, scoring 90% in their final exams. Akhsa was only three days old when she came to Asha House, and Abigail was born here. Both of them were abandoned by their mothers, but they grew up together in Asha House. Today, they are 15 years old.

When I look back, I remember each one of you who helped me care for these children. You supported me in providing them shelter, food, education, and more. Because of your kindness, they received everything they needed. I also remember the dear ones who visited Asha House when they were babies—you helped us care for them, spent time with them, and showed them love.

I am truly thankful to each one of you who played a part in Akhsa and Abigail’s lives in different ways. I am grateful to God for bringing you into our lives as a blessing. Without your help, this would never have been possible. We did it together.
Their studies are not yet finished, they still have a long way to go. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you so much for your prayers, love, and financial support. May God bless you all.”

For almost 16 years our donors have made a difference in so many children’s lives around the world – including the entire lives of these girls! Akhsa and Abigail have had their needs met, year after year, because of your faithfulness. They have experienced loved, safety, and stability since infancy because of you. They’ve had the opportunity to get an education, and they are working hard to finish school well. But as Simini shared above, “their studies are not yet finished.” They have come so far, but they’re not yet done! They have bright futures ahead – but they still need our help.

We need more monthly donors to commit to faithfully supporting these sweet girls and the other children in our care. As so many are facing economic challenges in our country and inflation worldwide, it’s been difficult to get the funding needed for our homes. We are so grateful for our current donors, and hope that those who haven’t yet signed up to give, will sign up today! It only takes a few minutes and a few dollars to make a BIG difference in a child’s life. Give your tax deductible gift through the link below, and together we’ll make the world a more HOPE-FULL place!
