60 Days of Summer Campaign!
Today, we are kicking off our first ever Summer campaign for The Sound of Hope, and we want YOU to be a part of it! Starting now, and going until August 13th, we are challenging you and your friends to get creative and be a part of bringing HOPE to children in India, Thailand, and Swaziland.
Think about it – instead of just sleeping late and working on your tan for the next 60 days, why not do something that can change the world? Just by organizing one event, you can help give children around the world a safe place to live, food to eat, clothes to wear, and an education. You might even help rescue a child from genocide in Burma, or prevent a child from entering the sex-industry in Thailand!
We know you’ve got some great ideas, and some time on your hands. So get your friends together and get going! Have a Car Wash, set up a Lemonade Stand, get crafty and sell something beautiful, or clean the junk out your closet and host a Yard Sale. If you’re a musician, you could play a Benefit Show. If you’re an athlete, you could run a marathon. If your birthday is coming up, then you could ask for donations instead of gifts! Whatever the idea is, we believe in it and WE BELIEVE IN YOU. So whether you raise $10 or $10,000 – know that you’ll be making a big difference in the lives of the amazing kids we care for overseas.
To be a part of this campaign, all you have to do is…
1. COMMENT BELOW and let us know your idea for a fundraiser.
2. Once your event is planned, CONTACT US with the details if you’d like us to help publicize it on our blog, twitter, or facebook page.
3. Set up a FUNDRAISING PAGE on Razoo for your event if you want to be able to accept donations via credit card or debit card. This is also a GREAT way to track how much money you’ve raised and to work towards a goal amount! Visit our Razoo page here. On the right side of the page, you’ll see a white box that says “More Ways You Can Help”. Click FUNDRAISE to start setting up your page! You can personalize it with stories, pictures, and info about your event.
4. After your event, mail your donations to: The Sound of Hope – 3130 Range Rd – Port Huron, MI – 48060. Be sure to turn any cash into a check or money order made out to: The Sound of Hope
The person that raises the MOST money will win a prize! We’re working on something awesome… so get busy now!
