Christmas Around The World

By Ericka | January 05, 2014

We wanted to share this blog to say THANK YOU! Because of you, the children we serve had an extra-special Christmas. Here are just a few photos and a short recap of was made possible because of your generous donations. Take a glimpse at what Christmas looked like for these children around the world!

INDIA

Asha Christmas

In India, your donations helped provide a Christmas gift for each of the children at Asha House (above). Every little boy and girl got a warm winter outfit. They also had a great Christmas party! You can see some of the girls dancing below, and the house all decorated for Christmas!

THAILAND

Thailand Christmas 6

In Thailand your donations provided a new winter tracksuit (pants and jacket) and a warm hat for each of our little girls. Your funding also provided for a Christmas party and goody bags for each girl. You can see them holding their goody bags and enjoying a Silly String fight below!

SWAZILAND

In Swaziland, your gifts provided a Christmas party for more than 100 children (and a few adults too!) Each child got a goody bag with a small toy or stuffed animal, school supplies, hygiene items, candy, and other treats. We were also able to bless the Gogos (Grandmothers) who volunteer to cook for the children each day with a washtub, some hygiene items, and some fruit and chocolate. Everyone at the carepoint got a special Christmas meal with meat and dessert (see photo above). This year’s Christmas party was a really special event! The “festivities” at the carepoint included games, a jump castle, fingernail and facepainting, and hearing The Christmas Story. Just look at the smiles on their faces!

BURMA

Burma party

In Burma, you provided our  7 boys and girls with a special Christmas meal, goody bags, and a Christmas party. As you can see from the silly picture above, they had a blast! Each child also got a new tracksuit for winter (pants and a warm jacket) and a warm hat.

Thank you again for making Christmas possible for each of the homes we serve. All of our children felt so loved, and they really enjoyed celebrating this special holiday!<
